Do mobile phone companies in the UK monitor for exceptional usage?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether UK based mobile phone companies have scanners that check for unusual / suspicious usage of your phone that might indicate that it had been stolen, like credit card companies do?Do mobile phone companies in the UK monitor for exceptional usage?Depends on the company.



I work for O2-UK and if you have had your handset for more than 3 months we will contact you if you greatly exceed your normal allowance.



We will always cut off your phone if you have run up a bill of over 拢250 while in the UK or 拢400 outside.
