In olden days, people used to keep their animals inside to shelter them from the harsh weather outdoors, and...as a general practice I suppose (when they couldn't afford farmland).
And today, of course, people keep pets inside all the time, but there have been studies showing the benefits of sharing time with an animal.
So what's your opinion? Is keeping pets a holdover from olden days, or a social necessity?Do you consider keeping pets a holdover from olden days or a social necessity?Personally, I feel that pets can create health problems with their dander, hair, and excrements. If we humans inhale any of this all day long, we can inhibit health problems- as proven through sources such as the CDC. Are pets good for you? sure. But when you have lots of family and lots of love they arent really "necessary". Only if you're like Al Bundy, but even then Buck didn't love him 24/7 either.
