How come dogs are so much different than other pets?

like they really have a desire to understand everything about us, what we are saying and doing.I've had a lot of pets and no other animals seem to have this unique connection with people. How come dogs are so much different than other pets? They've basically evolved with man. They've been around us for so long that there's kind of a natural human selection type thing going on.

We breed the dogs who are easiest to work with, who listen and obey well, etc. Thus it's the dogs who are willing to work and know how to understand us that survive.

What dogs have with humans is truly unique. They understand a pointing finger, something that the supposedly more intelligent apes can't do, they can read human facial expressions, and of course they can be taught our language. How come dogs are so much different than other pets?God made dogs as companions for us. "Man's Best Friend"

Dogs have more compassion for their owner than most people have for each other.

Aren't we glad we have a breathing creature who can give us unconditional love like nothing on earth can?! I know I am!How come dogs are so much different than other pets? They were pretty much bred to be companions for humans, way back even in cave man days. Only the friendliest would be kept around. How come dogs are so much different than other pets?
Thats why they are called man's best freind. They truely are wonderful beings.
