Are people buying and caring for their pets in this bad economy?

I want to start a spay and neuter business now and i wanted to know if people are still in demand for pets. More demand means more business. Are ppl still buying pets?Are people buying and caring for their pets in this bad economy?Yes lots of people are buying pets but they a lot are also in no position to take care of said pets.



The shelter I volunteer at has had a swarm of people dropping off their pets in the last few months. They had to go buy 30 more kennel runs for recovery playtime (for spay, neuter, surgery patients) and are in the process of building a second building to accommodate the animals since they want to turn no one away.Are people buying and caring for their pets in this bad economy?

Unfortunately, people are still realizing that they can't afford that cute puppy they just bought because vet bills pile up or other numerous reasons. Then those puppies get dumped into our local shelters. Pounds and shelters are more full than ever.



If you want to start your own business, I highly recommend contacting your local vet offices and shelters. I'm sure there is GREAT need for low cost neutering clinics. You'd most likely do lots of business. Not only from individual citizens, but from the pounds and shelters as well. That being said, surely you understand that there's a LOT more too it than that.Are people buying and caring for their pets in this bad economy?
lots of ppl still have pets, although some are neglecting their pets needs (groomer visits, some vet visits, high quality food). i think ppl will always have pets, although how good they take of them and will continue to has yet to be seen.Are people buying and caring for their pets in this bad economy?ya lots of ppl do
yes definately people are still treating there pets and spending money on them, i work for pets at home the largest pet retailer in the country and are sales are going up and up, opening new stores and taking on new staff, it is eventually going to have to come to a head though.Are people buying and caring for their pets in this bad economy?
