I grew up with dogs but, once I started working, I didn't have time to walk, bathe and groom a dog. I got my first cat (Russian Blue) 20 years ago and have not considered a dog since then. Cats are clean, quiet, very fun to play with, never smell, are very smart and you never have to walk them. And they love to cuddle. Can't imagine keeping any pet indoor all the time - I even put our guinea pig out (on the grass but with his cage over) when its nice outside...(he loves dandelion leaves)..but if you mean for the majority of the time - I think dogs are more fun, and I feel safer when the dogs are in the house. (Not that they'd actually protect me...but, at least they'd bark if something was unusual and I don't have to worry about animals coming from the woods and making it to my house...)Do cats make better indoor pets than dogs?

Cats are MUCH easier to take care of then dog's. Cats like to cuddle more often. If you get a kitten, they love to play!!
I acutally had a dog for 72 hours (haha i know it sounds stupid but we bought the dog, then they gave us a 72 hour return thingy) and it was a living hell (no offense to dog owners, I LOVE dogs..I just dont want to own one) the dog would get into everything,bark 24/7..poop on the rug and pee on the wall even when we trained her to go outside. We later found out he was the runt of the litter. Anyways, yes I would much much much rather a kitty!!Do cats make better indoor pets than dogs?Dogs are way better. A cat will always wanna go outside or run off. A dog will stay in the house because it wants to please u. A cat wants u to please it. And with a cat u have to clean out the litter box. A dog all u do it get it a small kennel to put outside and let it out when it has to go.
Yeah, but only if they've grown up being indoors, other wise it is just cruel. They're much cleaner than dogs and they don't make your house smell bad. It is definately not good to keep a dog inside though.Do cats make better indoor pets than dogs?
My cat refused to use a litter box so now it is a inside/outside cat. so i prefer a dog

dogs are high maintenance. Cats can pretty much take care of themselves
