What breeds of dogs did Native Americans keep as pets or as working dogs, between the 1400s and 1800s?

Hello. I'm doing research on cats and dogs Native Americans kept as pets or as working animals for a project I'm working on. What dog breeds did Native Americans keep as working dogs or as pets, between 1400s and the 1800s? Please let me know and please list as many breeds as possible. Thank you. What breeds of dogs did Native Americans keep as pets or as working dogs, between the 1400s and 1800s?Dogs were NOT pets for Native Americans, they were strictly work animals, before the spanish introduced the horse to Natives, dogs did most of the work, they hauled and pulled our loads. In my Tribe, the word for horse is Sunka Wakan, which means horse, but translated into english would mean Sacred Dog. There's a story behind the name buts its too long of a story to tell here. Here is an example of the sort of dogs we used, they were somewhat Husky/Malamute looking.

Pets were a luxury then and technically they are now. And yes as oregano said you need to do your own research rather than taking the easy way out by asking other people. Besides don't you have to actually cite your sources?

Oh and they didn't keep cats as pets for the most part or as working animals. They didn't have real breeds so much as pariah type dogs. What breeds of dogs did Native Americans keep as pets or as working dogs, between the 1400s and 1800s?There is a breed of dog called "the native american indian dog" or NAID for short. i have one. but people always say that the naids are not a pure breed because they're mixed with wolf and tons of other breeds or something. idk, search it up on google.the inuits(eskimos) kept sled dogs and used them to pull sleds. What breeds of dogs did Native Americans keep as pets or as working dogs, between the 1400s and 1800s?
