How can i find out who my mobile phone is registered to?

I called orange (mobile phone company) to register my debit card, so i can top up with out keep going to the shop, But when they asked me for my name they said that i wasn't the registered owner of this number / phone... i have had this same number / sim card for years, which my partner brought from me. i gave the orange operator my partners name (incase it was registered in her name) but no it's not registered in her name either. So is there any way of finding out who my phone is registered to?How can i find out who my mobile phone is registered to?I work for t mobile so I cannot guarantee its the same with orange but it sounds like it's a 'recycled' number. Basically someone had your number before you did, cancelled their account and the number became available again for a new phone. It sounds like it was a stolen phone, I am sorry but that is what is sounds like. You could ask the Company to do a research on this phone since it comes from them. Call them back and tell them you want a research done on your number. I am sorry this happened to you.
