hi i am planning to get a contract mobile phone here in th UK and i am 16 years old, am i old enougth to have a contract?In the uk how old do you have to be to have a contract on a mobile phone?Contact the customer service dept. of the cell phone companies and ask them. Most places want to run a credit check and since you are so young, you probably don't have any.



You may need to go with a prepaid cell until you reach age 18.
