What is a good mobile phone for older people?

My grandad is looking for a new phone as he is having trouble using the keypads on most of the mobile phones that are on the market today. I have seen the Samsung Jitterbug but as far as i know that has never been out in the UK

He wants a phone just so he can use it in emergencies, and have an easy to use menu system. Any help on phone recommendations would be fantasticWhat is a good mobile phone for older people?Great dear! You are doing a fantastic job for your grand dad. I appreciate it. I will recommend you to buy Samsung G600, Nokia 2610 with easy menu navigational system and very comfy keypads your grandad enjoy to use it. and one more thing i will also advice you to check 3 mobile phone deal to get extra benefits like free Sony Psp, Xbox with Mobile phones. get him an old style nokia, they are good phones, and very simple to use, also very tough too, i used to have one, and it got knocked a few times, but never gave up the goat, getting him, they are basic and good for the older person
I think prepaid cellular is the way to go. It will help them keep the cost down to pay for only what they use and there are good phones out there.

I agree that VirginMobile is the way to go. I have that service myself and it works great for me.

Also on their website they have an LG white flip phone which has buttons a bit larger that the other brand phones on the site. Check it out but like some have said Nokias can have simple menus if you compare carefully.

That might really be the way to go. The great thing about the site is you can show the close up view of each phone to show your granddad what it will look like so he can compare. Or check out their phones in alot of stores around your area and see what they are like to show him so he'll have an idea.

That will help you to go from there. What is a good mobile phone for older people?
a virgin mobile one. pay as you go is a good way to go. my grandma has that and she only pay's 80 dollars a year. like 20 each month. and she doesn't use it that much. but she can still see the key board.
Get him a phone that does not have many features like an old nokia phone
i think is not good for the old people to use cell phones because of the radiation.
