What is the max amount of pets you can h ave in an apartment building in nyc?

i'm sure it varies by apartment building but i have to move into an apartment and i have never done so before. I have 3 cats would this be allowed? What is the max amount of pets you can usually have in an apartment building. thank you. What is the max amount of pets you can h ave in an apartment building in nyc?Usually buildings allow 2 pets per household, but NY buildings, as you may know, are getting more strict with their pets policy specially with dogs. Some buildings are absolutely not allowing any pets at all.

With cats are much easier because you don't take them outside as often, so they can be hidden into your apartment, however if the landlord finds out you could in trouble and will need to leave.

The best thing to do is find out in your building if it allows pets. If they do, don't bother telling them if you 3 cats. Tell them you have only two. They won't find out.

If you are moving into a building with a doorman, it could a be trick when you need to take them out like going to a vet. However if you are nice to the doormen, most of the time they don't even bother. If you are moving into a elevator bldg without doorman or into a townhouse, then you won't have nothing to worry, as long as the landlord is not living at the same building than you.

I am a real estate broker in New York and if you need any further information please contact me by email. But you should be okay. I also have cats in an apartment which the landlord doesn't allow, but he doens't know... keep a secret
